Pucchio Japan Sakura Tour-Day 4
Pucchio Japan Sakura Tour-Day 4

Our first stop today after the sumptuos dinner and a good rest, is the Hakone Open Air Museum. We went to the Picasso Museum where collection of Picasso's paintings and ceramic arts were exhibited. Too bad that we were not allowed to take pictures inside of the museum....

Large canvas of Picasso shown at the entrance of the second floor exhibit.

Beautiful Stained Glass Tower at the Hakone Open Air Museum.

Next stop, Gora Park. This is a Western-style hillside botanical garden with a tea house, greenhouses & a central fountain. Opened in 1914, this park was Japan's first French-style garden with a design focused on factors such as symmetry and geometric shapes. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms, azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas and other plant life throughout the four seasons. The park's "craft house" offers hands-on activities such as pottery and glassblowing.

Different flowers can be seen during different season.

Ōwakudani (大涌谷 lit. "Great Boiling Valley") is a volcanic valley with active sulphur vents and hot springs in HakoneKanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is a popular tourist site for its scenic views, volcanic activity, and especially, Kuro-tamago (黒卵 lit. "black egg"?) — a local specialty of eggs hard-boiled in the hot springs.[1] The boiled eggs turn black and smell slightly sulphuric; consuming the eggs is said to increase longevity. Eating one is said to add seven years to your life.

After our hefty buffet, we head down to Lake Ashi using the cable car or "rope way".

Sayonara Owakudani-!

Finally reached the other end of Lake Ashi at Hakone Machi (Hakone Town). Our bus driver came to pick us up to stay at the luxurious Izu Daisenya.

Behind the hotel, we went for Optional Tour to see the farm in Izu, Japan. Beautiful scenery and fresh air!

We happen to see a small bell that says "Strawberries for sale, please press this bell". So we pressed the bell, and an old lady came out to show us the strawberries she has. Our group bought all the three strawberries packs she had.

Sumptuous dinner again at Daisenya Hotel. Everyone has his/her own hot pot. :)
